breakneck ridge.

the hike up breakneck ridge and the view down out and across the hudson river. perhaps one of the most breathtaking things i've done since i came up here. it's more of a climb then a hike really, straight up the cliff face and then into the woods. kate and i and jon kan, an architect friend of mine. he grew up in Hong Kong, and went to RISD with the guy that sat across from me in the San Francisco Eight, Inc. office, Rob Matthewson. oh what a small world it is.

ruins of mills and homes and other things were scattered through the woods. you can't see the forest for the silo.
