so, we both had this image in our heads of building full of farm fresh produce and flowers, so we ventured out to canarsie. but alas, what we found were a group of old (beautiful) brick warehouse/loading buildings mostly filled with wholesale food products and floral nurseries.
we took the bus there from jasons and back to my place. it was nice to see that side of brooklyn, and may be worth another trip as the weather gets warmer.

this place did have fresh produce, dried salted fish, and legumes by the pound.
